To be honest I dont really know anything about editing - this is my first step into it. I think maybe iphoto would be sufficient for me to get started - as long as it is easy to ue etc. If I wanted to make the step up from iphoto - how much am I looking at for a dedicated editing software?

I am interested in doing nude / Glamour photography. I have never done anything like this before, and i am quite nervous. I think I would be more comfortable starting off with a group shoot first. I was just wondering if people could point me in the right place to find out about group...

I looked at the fisher price one - but thought it looked a bit 'childish' for an 8 nearly 9 year old.....

It will be her first camera, so I think a compact will be fine - main thing is that it is simple to use etc.... and robust.... and not too expensive hehe (credit crunch and all that jazz!).
