    Compact with Selective Colouring

I know, I know. It's for the girlfriend. She's after a new camera and her friends' can do it, hence, so must hers. She only want a point and shoot, bit of zoom, nothing too fancy. I quite like the Samsung MultiView but alas, it hasn't got SC. Any ideas? (I'm not going down the...

Canon 100d - Worth it for a beginner?

It's a good deal on a very nice camera. Extra budget should go on glass as opposed to the body. I was going to suggest the 55-250 IS and then I saw this... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=360317708982&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT#ht_2522wt_1139

    EOS400D to EOS40D

I went from a 350D to a 40D earlier this year. I find the 40d a lot more comfortable and ergonomic to use do to the increased size and wheel on the back. There are a good few more settings as well, one I use a lot is spot metering. ISO handling is also superior and the additional mega-pixies...

    Fireworks !

I think I will try to get a tripod up and see how the crowd is. It's a very popular show being in East London and free. Might be worth stepping back a bit to get more space, will check it out early on the day to see what the layout is.

    iPhone IOS4 now available !

I did mine last night. Zero issues. My biggest bugbear is that Skype havent released their new app yet and dont say when they will. It's a shame as it was showcased at WWDC to show off the multi-tasking; but alas, not yet.

The one best piece of advice you've been given...

Learn you camera, know what every button does and it's effect on the photos. Then parctise practise practise! When out in the field and changing focus point or changing the exposure compensation should be second nature and gives you more photo time and less head scratching time!
