That's mostly sounding like a lens fault. Thanks all. It looks like the appature isn't opening properly afterwards. Around £120 certainly makes me happier than potentially buying a new lens. In at least one car it got lighter then darker after the shot, as if the appature opened then closed...

I've given up on trays. I now put water into baking trays put that in the freezer. When it's frozen you put it in around 5 to 10 mm of water and it drops out. I think I have it down to a thinktank holster 40 or slower toploader. The grip seems to limit the choice somewhat.

It really is crazy. I can't get over the high ISO performance. I've bought a proper flash for the first time as well and I can see so many opportunities.

Coming from a 400D I agree that people are too hard on the autofocus. It may not be the best but it's a noticeable upgrade and was never something I noticed holding me back. I've still only been playing and testing so far but love it.

Wow, took some photos of family last night on an ISO beyond what my 400D would even let me select and the photos are cleaner than I could have imagined. I think I'm going to enjoy this camera lots.
