    Canon 6D and 24-105 L not behaving

The staying dark is happening on my 400d as well. Whereas my 50mm is working as expected on my 6d. Time to find a repair centre.

    Canon 6D and 24-105 L not behaving

That's mostly sounding like a lens fault. Thanks all. It looks like the appature isn't opening properly afterwards. Around £120 certainly makes me happier than potentially buying a new lens. In at least one car it got lighter then darker after the shot, as if the appature opened then closed...

    Canon 6D and 24-105 L not behaving

No, in currently out of the country traveling. Will try with a 50mm f1.8 in a few days. If you don't mind me asking, how much did your repair cost?

    Canon 6D and 24-105 L not behaving

Hi all, I have a relatively new 6D (less than a year) and an older (7 years approximately) 24-105 L. Yesterday they started acting strangely. First after I took a photo the viewfinder didn't become as light as it started. Taking another photo seemed to resolve this. It did it a few times...

    Ice cube trays..?

I've given up on trays. I now put water into baking trays put that in the freezer. When it's frozen you put it in around 5 to 10 mm of water and it drops out. Put it into a decent freezer bag and smash it up a bit you can then put it back in the freezer. Works really well for cocktails where you...

    I hadn't, thank you.

    Quick access case...

I think I have it down to a thinktank holster 40 or slower toploader. The grip seems to limit the choice somewhat.

    South-West England New from Devon

Welcome from a fellow Devonian. It's a sensible idea to take your time on which camera, I've just upgraded to a 6D and love it. Congratulations as well.

    Quick access case...

I'm on the hunt for a quick access case that can hold a canon 6d with grip, and attached 24-105 with the hood. And a rain cover. I've got an Amazon basics holster that fits without the hood and without a cover. It's worked well but not quite perfect. I've looked at thinktank holsters and...

    Eos 6d Owners Thread!

It really is crazy. I can't get over the high ISO performance. I've bought a proper flash for the first time as well and I can see so many opportunities.

    Eos 6d Owners Thread!

Coming from a 400D I agree that people are too hard on the autofocus. It may not be the best but it's a noticeable upgrade and was never something I noticed holding me back. I've still only been playing and testing so far but love it.

    Looking For A Torch

I'd recommend led lenser. I have around 6 of their torches for various purposes. The build quality for the price is great. I have had to return one when the button failed but it was really very easy. I used to always carry a p3 in my jeans pocket when I worked in a basement and blacked out...

Advice please - how best to photograph greetings cards?

Do you have a white bath? If so I've found them an acceptable and available background for objects a little smaller than greetings cards. A roll of white paper might work OK, but harder to set up in my experience. I'd use the camera on Av, with an appature quite low (not sure how sharp that...

    Eos 6d Owners Thread!

Wow, took some photos of family last night on an ISO beyond what my 400D would even let me select and the photos are cleaner than I could have imagined. I think I'm going to enjoy this camera lots.
