Superb - thanks for that!
I had a look through your stream last and it is very impressive - i'll be happy if i get some shots half as good as these! :)
Yeah - I had heard it's not great for photographers - I have been told I'll be shooting at 400mm quite a bit but you know I like a challenge. Also find this sort of things pushes me to think about my shots more.
I would have gone to Brands Hatch (which I believe is a better track for...
Ah sorry I am traveling down on the Friday as its a 4 hour drive from mine :) Got myself a bed in a premier inn on Friday and Saturday night so will be there Sat/Sun.
So a bit of a lurker and don't really post here much but thought I'd drop a quick post.
I am travelling down to Silverstone on Friday for the British GT racing.
I am a frequent visiter of Croft but made it bit of a new years resolution to get to 2 new tracks this year. So as the misses is...
Body wise I have a 7d and 500d with lenses Sigma 120-400 / Canon 55-250 / Canon F1.8 100mm.
I hope to add a 70-200 then a 5d3 in the next 12 months to my kit list.
Cheers will have a look for it! I follow GFWilliams on Facebook and Twitter and love the shots. Always wanted to give it a go but looked like the rig would cost a fortune!
Will have a look for his video!
Nice car btw!
Awesome thread - going to have a look at this! Thanks for posting!
I'm bit of a photoshop newbie - are there any online guides to cloning out the pole?
I was thinking that - took us hours to get away last year on the Sunday.
I'll be in a red berghaus which I've had since I was 16 from my DofE days (so dont laugh) shooting a canon 500d + Sigma 120-400. Come say hi if you see me as I'm always looking to meet new togs!
I'll be there on both days as well - just ordered a rain cover given the weather conditions of the last week or so. There are some great locations at Croft - I shot the BTCC last year primarily from the complex area using my 55-250.
Since then I've acquired a Sigma 120-400 which I find useful...
Thanks everyone for the feedback - i'll defo take this into consideration when I'm back next for the BTCC. Although I fear our summer has been and about to go :)
Cheers - I was stood on the main straight and it was horrendous so ended up moving round to complex which was a lot better.
Will keep this in mind for next time :)
I was taking some photos yesterday of my Dad's driving experience at Croft race circuit.
Having only been into photography for about 12 months now I've not had the luxury of shooting many motorsport events in bright conditions.
I was finding that where the sun was reflecting off the car...
Hi - not sure if you still want photos but I used my 55-250 at Croft BTCC in June 2011.
Link to the set
Please bare in mind that was my first attempt at panning :)
Hi - I am bit of a lurker on here but got a quick question...
How are you meant to get trackside by having photos published at previous events? The event's I've been to (mainly BTCC) all have restrictions that all photos should be for private use.
Bit of a catch 22 isn't it? Or are there lower...
