Don't be frightened of buying used glass, I've just traded a 300 2.8 afed that I bought used 10yrs ago for a used 300 2.8 VR just buy from a dealer you trust or try before you buy. What about an older 80/200 2.8? I use a one touch afed and its sharp as a razor on my D300.

Just bought 300 2.8vr to go with my D300 for motrsport, effectively 420 2.8 or 600 f4 with 1.4TC. What I want to know is do I swap my D200 for a D700 as a second body or wait for a used D3 when they all change for a D3s

Don't you lot agree on anything? Cannon? Nikon? Use what your comfortable with. BTW, a bad workman blames his tools, but it takes a craftsman to know the differance! Eric, new to the forum.
