Well battery arrived today, there is 2 grams of difference in weight, the packaging was convincing, it has a slightly different feel to the plastic, it registers with a 7 digit serial number on the camera. Seems legit I guess.

Well thought I would post this to show the quality of a high iso shot. Was at a friends house last night and the kids were showing off. I'm amazed at the output. This was shot RAW, imported to lightroom, adjusted white balance, exported to full size jpg with no other adjustments. Auto ISO...

Yeah I realise that now but didn't really think about it before I upgraded. Just thought I would point it out to anyone else who is thinking of upgrading :)

Yeah it was a RAW file and I applied the Lens correction in Lightroom. But as you can see in the image the foremost left hand corner wall looks like it is leaning backwards. My 60d didn't exhibit this to the same extent. I could have resolved it by using the manual controls in the lens...

I've used them twice now once for a 60d and then this 6d and haven't had any problems. Ordered on the Sunday, delivered on the following Saturday.

Yeah it was called gPhoto2 http://www.twam.info/software/read-out-canon-eos-7d-shuttercount-on-os-x A bit of a faff and had to install some developer tools but it worked a treat Another link...

I had been reading on here that some cameras bought via the grey import route had dodgy looking serial numbers and they didn't match the serial number in the exif. Also I plugged my camera into the MacBook and ran a utility that interrogates the camera to see how many shots it had taken.

I'm blown away by the quality, the speed of focus, the bokeh, the handling of the camera, etc, etc compared to my 60D
