    Carrying camera in motorcycle tailpack

TL is an epic ride :) Mine's a CBR-600F2. I specifically didn't do the faux single seat cowl thing because the seat surface provides a nice grippy surface for my tailpack to sit on. Good to know that you didn't have any issues with vibrations. Probably won't bother taking a tripod with me as I...

    Carrying camera in motorcycle tailpack

I prefer to use a tail pack on my motorcycle rather than a backpack. This is a bag that is strapped to the pillion seat. As such it does not benefit from my spine and squishy bottom as a shock absorber which a backpack would. I was wondering if anyone carries their camera gear in a tail pack and...

    Fuji X100S

I'm absolutely loving it. Very happy with it and no issues hence lack of posts lol. Regarding in camera JPG I have found it does give super smooth skin with nice colouring but I find the pic's a bit over sharpened and the blacks can be a bit overbearing. I still shoot jpg+raw but on the whole I...

Bought £4 soft release button from eBay, charged £12 tax?

The prehistoric sods only accept cash or cheque... (Yes I did write cheque) when you pay on site. I imagine their cost of collection is pretty high due to them being extremely inefficient and old school. The item I bought is not avail. here in Blighty. Anyway, I just put it down to experience.

Bought £4 soft release button from eBay, charged £12 tax?

Quick update - it was a different item that I ordered and forgot about. Almost £12 paid on a £20 item. Lesson learned.

Bought £4 soft release button from eBay, charged £12 tax?

I bought a £4 screw in soft release button for my x100s from eBay. Post office say customs want £4 duty and are then adding a £8 handling fee on top. Does anyone know where I stand on this and what I can do? Does not sound right :(

    Fuji X100S

I used the x100s for the first time today. I loved it! Took it to a national trust place and it was so much less stressful than lugging my DSLR about! Two things I wanted to ask about though: 1) I found that actually manual focus (with peak detect) was much better than autofocus. This is weird...

    Fuji X100S

I'm a new x100s owner! Bought it from duty free on the way out to the US and have not used it in pain. Can you guys point me to some links where I can read up and get the best out of the camera without having to spend ages learning by trial and error?

If you could only have one (portable) backdrop what would it be?

If you could have only one portable backdrop for use in peoples houses for family portrait sessions what would you go for? What colour, what material, what size? Interested to hear opinions.

How would you light two kids sitting side by side?

I ended up putting lights at 45 degrees to them (one on each side) which produced a flat light but meant that they were both lit evenly rather than having one darker than the other. I am really happy with the results but I was wondering what more creative setups you would use for two kids...
