    Beginner Why is it?.......Woodland photography

Definitely, with the added bonus that you can mute/flatten the bottom of the colour curve ala blacks in the vintage style too. It was, but it was this or not taking the shot due to the clutter just out of frame. This was wide as it could get from memory at 10mm.

    Beginner Why is it?.......Woodland photography

I quite like cross processing trees, as I just feel this draws out a single tree quite well, or sets a "tone". Some people like the stylizing and others don't, but it can be useful. Like everything else, its each to his own and its what pleases you. I like Mark Littlejohn's style when its...

    THE PP GAME!

Just so you know the LR does have a panoramic blend if you are using LR5+, it allows HDR or Panorama under photo merge in the double click/right click on the photo in the develop module.

    Canon 7D Flash Sync

You're right. I'm trying to simplify as I've read quite a bit to begin with, but the shutter speed limitation was not part of it. I understood that the YNs were manual flash, and that the Canon ones offered TTL and auto expose the flash for the scene. The possibility of separating the subject...

    Canon 7D Flash Sync

So , the camera itself is capable of higher speed...its solely the trigger for the flash sending a simple signal, and the flash trigger only being capable of one flash rather than a high speed burst that is causing the issue? But if I'm right then j can use the YN560 as a slave triggered by...

    Canon 7D Flash Sync

And by using it as a secondary I meant as well as a Canon as master.

    Canon 7D Flash Sync

Not sure that does help! Although makes some sense. Anyone else got any workarounds? Other than using this as a secondary flash in slave mode I presume? What speed can the canon based flashes achieve on and off the hotshoe? On a 7D. Or is the 7D not the issue?

    Canon 7D Flash Sync

I'm confused by the flash sync speed for the camera and flash gun. As per title, I've got a 7D but also an old 500D too. I got a fully manual YN560 III and some 603 triggers. My presumption (as this is my first foray into flash) was that I could match flash speed with shutter speed. It looks...

Beginner NYC Street Art - Help with PP

The last one that you really like: get some chalk, multi bold colours and get someone with nice writing to recreate on your house wall. Shoot straight on, no distortion for angle. Wash off later. [emoji3] Some of the others serve as a moment in history so play around. Sure bits can be done. Crop...

ND grad filter magenta colour cast issues

You've got me wrong, I meant from his point of view. I'm all for proper exposure on camera but the argument put forward doesn't hold up if you are going to layer digital grads, as surely you can use them properly in camera, gaining a proper exposure and minimal brush PP for slight tweaks...

ND grad filter magenta colour cast issues

I'm confused too??? It's a soft grad and not a hard grad. Hills...trees...use a soft grad. Sea...flat horizon....use a hard grad. And in terms of using a digital one in place of a physical grad then what's wrong with the recover in PP to correct a minimum part of an exposure?

ND grad filter magenta colour cast issues

Can agree with the dynamic range and noise it's def affected, but that can depend on the level of pull back etc. If you play with luminosity for the blues and bump the contrast up too, then yes it gets noisy and can be considerable dependent on the original lighting.

ND grad filter magenta colour cast issues

The one thing I'd say is crop and full frame. This is something I've heard about, but not actually seen first hand. Something to do with the resin process for HiTech definitely, although not sure about Cokin and then the additional filter on the sensor or something. (Can anyone else add or...

    Car sounds rough after fueling...

The reason ECU tuning is big is the good gains due to tolerances and response that turbos can get from a remap. These do push the internals to limits along with any drivetrain elements (one reason the higher BHP Evos don't offer automatic us the weakness if the clutch.)
