So apparently I need an x1r, there is nothing smaller that will do the job. Seems a bit over the top but I guess they are only £30 each. Might keep an eye out on ebay.

Fuji x-t2. I've moved from a Nikon D810 (full frame 36mp) and lots of nice glass to a fuji x-t2 with (admittedly) lots of nice glass. Have a look, I'd recommend an extended test drive as the controls take a little bit of getting used to as do the focus modes but is easy that I'd rather shoot...

I have 3 Bowens strobes. Older ones, esprit and geminis. I'm just after something I can plug a 3.5mm back into to fire them from my godox xt16 transmitter. I'm not after any smart functions (obviously).

Hopefully Tamron will come out with something equally good and cheaper in the 50mm range. For now it's either a compromise or a large bill!

There are no nice nikon 50mm lenses. I'm sure people will moan at that, but it's true! The best 2 are the 1.8G and the 1.4D. I sold my 1.4G as it s as soft and sooo slow to focus. You'll notice an improvement in micro contrast with the G when shooting into the light. If I could have got a 1.8G...

I'm just about to trade in all my nikon gear and go to fujifilm xt-2 and some fast (1.4) glass. I think I'm convinced!
