Thanks everyone! Yeah I agree with all of you, seems everyone shares a simila experience :). In regards to the new glass, when I was using the 350D I got a 70-200 f4, and a little nifty fifty, but I agree whenever I need wide I need to go back to the old kit lens do I think in the future...

Hi guys, just picked up my new 7D today + 24-105mm IS F4L Lens today! I was so excited to get it, and to be fair it's a bit more than i was expecting to get. I originally set out a couple weeks ago to get a 550D; a nice modern equivalent of my 350D which i've been using for a few years now...

Ah i see, i completely blanked that out of my consideration! I will look into it, thankfully i've not 100% set my mind on it just now. I'll put some more money towards a camera as i'm not in a rush to buy one yet. I'd like something for next spring/summer, see what prices are like after Xmas...

That review makes it seem quite nice! If i had the dough i'd definately get one, although the non constant aperture seems a bit iffy, would much rather have at least f4!

As the title says really, im going out with a group of about 4-5 cars tomorow night, got a rough idea of what i'd like to achieve, But any little pointers or tips would really be appreciated! Im using a canon 350D just now, will have tripod and 2 flash's. Thanks Doug
