Sony A7IV - new firmware v6.00 listed - major issues for some then removed. I'm interested in the new focus tracking (hopefully like the A7RIV).
It's interesting that not a single mention of this firmware having issues on google or youtube.
I use this lens on the A7iii and as long as the selected shutter speed is suitable for the subject, all is good. I'm surprised actually how sharp it is as I've normally always avoided lenses with a big focal range.
Get one from Amazon to try?
Title is a click-bait admittedly but, since owning a Canon R6, I haven't really felt like auto-focus was one of the priorities when looking for a new camera. Context - I don't photograph gymnasts doing triple summersaults or even BIF. Most of my shots are of people walking or standing.

Just need to know if anyone has come across a useful link on how to setup the A7RIV. I have been using a A7III and have tried to setup it up the same but I'm sure, as it's a newer model, there will be some settings which I've missed.
1. Shutter speed of at least 250
2. Max ISO of 6400
3. 2 SD...
I don't think I want to live to 100. The way I see things going, I'll be happy to move on. I see a health care system where most the population goes into debt because it's good for business. I see this already in the dentistry world - need a tooth removed that'll be £76.
Medical science is saying we will live longer and longer... on medication?
Consider the following: Do you want to live with the aid of someone helping you; go to the bathroom / feed you / get in and out of bed / get changed / and the other 100 and 1 things we do on a daily basis
I live near an Elizabeth line station - we are told that resident parking permits are coming. The council said this a result of a consultation that neither I nor anyone I know has received. The price of each permit is £138 per annum.
I use the 28-75 G2 almost 80% of the time and find it reliable and sharp on a Sony A7iii. I also have a Sigma 35mm 1.4 art but this only gets out if the lighting is very poor. Of course there is a difference in sharpness / contrast but for how the photos are used (mainly screen) none of the...
I put a piece of ND film over the EVF Proximity sensor, first to cover half and the eye viewer / rear screen stopped switching totally. I made a smaller piece and it started working and I got excited thinking problem solved.
Whilst photographing an event on Sunday, when the battery got to...
I'm about to get the tamron lens for a single Sony A7iii body use at a particular event. Lighting at the venue is not great but having tried the Tamron 35 -150 F/2-2.8 I realised I needed have more reach than light.
It's a big compromise based on using a single body - no changing lenses but I'm...
Just wanted to check - this in google search comes with good prices and seems like a UK store with next day delivery available.
Any one have experience of purchasing from this store?
I know it sounds sad but I'm surely relieved that I'm not loosing it... Thought it was something I was doing or because I purchased the extended eye piece. BTW, even when I took off the eye piece it still does it. I have ordered the 'light dims' material - fingers x
