    Premium bonds

I've had £100 worth for forty years (blimey!) never won a bean but still get the £100 back, although not worth as much. You really need to max out to be in with a reasonable chance and the estimated winning calculator linked above is pretty accurate. My dad's accountant advised him to hold his...

    Madeira in March

Thanks John, will try R110. Defo hiring a car (too many hills!) for flexabillity. The airport is still the 9th most dangerous, and there are some great youtube vids taken of the approach on windy days! The runway was extended in 2000 but the approach is very turbulant because of the hills, i...

    Madeira in March

Got a chance of a week on Madeira in Mid-March next year. Anyone know the island and know of any tips, suggestions or ideas. Mostly landscape, flower, historic etc. Believe the airport is worth a half-day, scarey landings! Any other ideas would be great, and i've already checked the...

    Silly question of the day:

If you are looking to turn it into a dedicated macro lens then http://www.srb-griturn.com/index.asp will mount it for you. enlarger lenses make great macros due to the flatness of the optics. Would be worth giving them a call.

    Using older Canon Lenes

Believe there is an adaptor to allow older Canon lenses to be used on a newer camera. A1 to AE1? Could someone please explain what funtions are lost, and any other disadvantges, if any? Also, is this a Canon only product, or is there a third party option? Many thanks.

    Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

Wow! that is so close! From some angles that could be it!! Seem to remember it being on its own. May well go down for a look, looks worth a visit anyway! Cheers.

    Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

Not Islay and cant find the Leuchers one on google maps! Wondering if I'm not imagining a graveyard and a 'normal' church built on a moot hill. This is driving me nuts! Quite enjoy visiting graveyards and churches and disappearing down 'wee roadies' so no hardship to do a bit of exploring...

    Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

You know John, been thinking about your comments and your right, there are plenty locations nearer home. Just sometimes just think I've done them to death! But often a different light or a different mood changes the perspective. Suppose Tentsmuirs not any better than Forvie. Think I'll drive to...

    Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

Roaming herds of wilderbeasts???? Seriously, thinking seascapes, coastal, estuary type shots. Not really a bird watcher, but if one lands in front of me... and I presume the forest is, like... full of trees? from the map I was thinking of the visitor centre, walking North along the coast and...

    Tentsmuir Nature Reserve

Hi Thinking of visiting Tentsmuir, South of Dundee early next week. As its a two hour drive and covers 50 sq miles, does anyone know the best place to park to start and which areas or routes are best to cover the area. Reasonably fit but not much of a walker! Any other hints and tips on this...
