    Tips for Trip to Snowdon?

I agree with itsdavedotnet. I didn't use my equipment (rain coast, trousers, first aid,...) but I feel safer. Bring more water with you. I had 4l water with us. When we arrived at the summit we have to buy more water.

    Tips for Trip to Snowdon?

Sorry for replying sooo late. I was very busy with my study. The weather was very nice and warm. There were also a lot of people. The only thing was that the sky was misty. I took only 2 lenses with me (16-35mm, 24-70mm), 1xflashgun (didn't use at all due the good weather) and my heavy tripod...

    One camera one lens

I Agree with you. I think a 50mm fits in the portfolio with a 24-70mm (use this lens most too). I always take only one of these lenses with me. Sometimes you just want a lighter lens carring with you. Agree with you too, but sometimes using a 50mm instead a 24-70mm is quite comfortable. It's...

That's okay for wildlife with good condition of the lights. I was thinking taking photos on the street or indoor like a Paparazzi. Carring for 30 mins. is still no problem, but for few hours without tripod? I sold my 70-200mm 2,8 IS last month. It is just too heavy. To compare...

    One camera one lens

Good suggestion, if you don't mind taking all the time a big and heavy Camera+Lens. However once again. Without more detail you probably won't get a suitable answer. I would analysis first your existing photos: For example: How many % indoor, ?% outdoor, ?% wide angle, ?% standard, ?%...

It's depend on your interest. However the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM (alternative one from Sigma or Tokina) should be covered for the most situations.

Why on earth do I get grainy photos?

manual white balance can be tricky (especially in restaurant with different lights). So I end up with pre-setting from the camera (tungsten). Afterwards I correct them in lightroom. To be not like a paparazzi I took my good compact camera (one with manual setting and RAW) ;) But I believe if...

Why on earth do I get grainy photos?

This may improve the picture, but the person in front of the camera is still moving (especially children).

Why on earth do I get grainy photos?

I think it is better keep the photos a bit under-exposed instead put a higher ISO. You can correct it later in Lightroom, Capture One etc. software. For me is this more efficient (must take in RAW). I normally don't go higher than ISO 1600 and not below 60sec. for taking people with my Canon 5D...

    Tips for Trip to Snowdon?

I bought today the snowdon map. The miners track is indeed the most interesting one and the Llanberis path is boring. The problem is that my girlfriend prefer going up with the train (she likes train). So if I park my car near Llanberis Station and take the miners track down to Pen-y-pass, how...
