This one is from the first anniversary of the World Trade Center in New York attack. Too little lens and too little experience, but I think it captures the mood at the time.

My first camera as a kid was an Olympus Pen EE 1/2 frame. Then on to Pentax ME. Been mostly Canon DSLR's since, but now back to the beginning with an OM-5, for a small travel camera for this aged body
Personally, I like the original shot with the subject looking off into the distance. Great pose, expression and use of the shadows. Agree that the background is a little distracting, but about a 5 minute dirty edit in Affinity Photo gave the following results
Can't use a strap or anything that causes pressure on my neck, so I have used a Cotton Carrier for years. It is a little bulky, but holds your camera securely on your chest, especially with the auxiliary safety straps
