    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Ok this has got even weirder. I found that when I wiggle the lens in the bayonet fitting while it is locked in then the ISO jumps when in manual ISO, but only with my 24-70 lens, all other lens are ok but the 24-70 lens works fine on a Z7 and a Z fc so maybe it's not the lens? Then I found that...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

Update. I've spoken with Nikon and I indeed have a faulty unit. I can recreate the problem just by tapping the side of the camera or extending the lens. The ISO goes yellow and jumps to a random setting.

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

I have just got a new Z7II and my Z7 has gone to my daughter, but I think my Z7II might be faulty. It will not switch off Auto ISO. In manual mode I can switch Auto ISO on and off and the display tells me it is off but it keeps changing the ISO???? Is there some setting that I'm missing???

    Nikon NX-Studio

That is very interesting. I'm trying a new workflow now to see how it goes. I use NX Studio to import from my camera and do the initial sift to delete the photos that I don't want to keep, then export them as Tiffs and the import the Tiffs into my Lightroom 1TB storage plan.

    Nikon NX-Studio

I've recently got a new Nikon Z fc and found that Lightroom can't open its RAW files yet, so I downloaded Nikon NX Studio and now I'm a bit depressed. I have found that NX-Studio renders my RAW files better that Lightroom for my existing Nikon Z7 camera. It looks so much better to me that it is...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

I can't deny the new Zfc looks loverly. I appreciate that technically there are arguments against, but what a looker. I guess it all depends on what is important to you and for some people the looks might outweigh any limitations and I can understand that, especially if you're into street...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

I've had a ring round yesterday and was told by WEX that the Z MC 105mm micro would be months away because of the numbers that have been pre-ordered (I've not pre-ordered). They told me that as yet they have had none delivered from Nikon. Also Nikon have apologised saying that the delivery will...

Adobe Lr/Ps with Apple M1 Problem

I have found a problem Photoshop/LightroomCC. I had LrCC with 1TB Creative Cloud storage plan and Photoshop. If you edit a Lr image in Ps and the try to close and save it back to Lr it will destroy and lose the file if Lr is still trying to sync a previous file. If it was a large file it can...

    Apple Silicon M1

I'm running a BenQ PD2720U 4K UHD Thunderbolt 3 Monitor. It has just one Thunderbolt/USB-C cable from the monitor into the MacBook Pro. This charges the MacBook at the same time as sending the video signals to the monitor. So I have just one plug to connect when I sit down at my desk. The...

Mac Mini's - with new apple chips?

No sorry. Lightroom CC, Affinity Pro, Sigma Optimisation Pro, Smartshooter 4 and Wacom Intuit pro all run well so far. No problems with anything yet.

Mac Mini's - with new apple chips?

I've just finished setting up my new MacBook Pro with he new Apple Silicon ARM M1 chipset in it. It is much much quicker than my 2019 i5 MacBook Pro even though I bought the fastest i5 CPU available when I bought it. So far all my software and hardware works well. Especially Lightroom CC.

    Apple Silicon M1

I've just finished setting up my new MacBook Pro with he new Apple Silicon ARM M1 chipset in it. So far so good. Lightroom CC works very well and is sooooo much quicker. Affinity seems to work well too and is also noticeably quicker. My Wacom Intros Pro tablet works fine too. The whole...

Mac transition to ARM (rumor) and buying

I only have the Lightroom CC 1TB deal...I got it cheap for 2 years pre-paid (£76)(I'm only an amateur). I use Lightroom for 90% of my images and Affinity and Luminar4 for the few that need more involved tweaking. But I'll let you all know of any problems that I come across.

Mac transition to ARM (rumor) and buying

Well I've just ordered a MacBook Pro with a Apple ARM M1 chip. 8 CPU cores, 8 GPU cores, 16 core neutral engine, 16GB ram. I'm told by Apple that all existing software will run as quick or quicker using "Roseta" to emulate the Intel x86 instruction set. Lightroom is ready with a version...
