    Beginner Using a Hood

I admit I never use my hoods. I do not even know where my 24-70 hood is. There is no absolute need for a hood, its a nice bit to have and it does remove glare ( most the time ) and it can protect you lens from damage. But if you pay attention you can avoid glare or use it as part of the image...

    Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 V tamron 24-70 f/2.8 vc

The 28-75 vs 24-70 ... Fill the same space but cater to it diferently. I have had 2 28-75 lenses and have the 24-70 ( Tamron ). I actually still have one 28-75 as a backup ( it got dropped and the edge of the frame chipped off, although it still works perfectly even after it had 2 KG's with of...

    Tamron 28-75 f2.8

DXoMark rates the 2 lenses about the same http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Lenses/Compare-Camera-Lenses/Compare-lenses/%28lens1%29/298/%28lens2%29/971/%28brand1%29/Tamron/%28camera1%29/438/%28brand2%29/Nikkor/%28camera2%29/438 The 2.8 will give you a more shallow DOF and it is consistent...

    Tamron 28-75 f2.8

Thanks. I posted those images to try give an idea of what you can do with the lens, and image quality. On a Full frame you will not have the same wide angle as 24mm of a 24-70mm , but on the flip side you will have the extra 5mm on zoom. Groups shots are can be done with the 28mm without...

    Lexar vs Sandisk

I will stand alone for Lexar it seems. Used them, they do they job. Lexar and Sandisk are both quality products and as such you not going to go wrong with either.

    Tamron 28-75 f2.8

I have this lens, actually I have 2. I got the 1st second hand and it is super crisp, but after 2 years it has decided to play up. Because it is as cheap as it is, I have simply bought another while I send the other in ( something I still have to do ). The second lens works OK on my D300s but...

    triggers/receivers

I would rather say what do you want to you it for and what do you need ? Do you need/want TTL ? Do you need/want passthrough ? What range do you need/want ? Do you need/want interchangeable receiver transmitter ? Do you need/want to change setting remotely ? Each choice will effect the price. I...

Hi guys. I have a Yongnuo YN-467 with Nikon Hotshoe. I pretty much use it as a OCF, with a couple of other speedlights. I have decided to buy the Yongnuo YN-622N remotes that which are TTL compatible. All is fine and dandy until I see that YN-467's are not noted as compatible with...

    Wedding Photography - Camera choices

5D mk2 ... There are a lot around so if you patient you should be able to pick a good one up at a nice price. The 24-105 is an F4 and you are going to feel the lack of a low light capable lens, perhaps get a 2nd hand 24-70 2.8 lens, its the bread and butter lens of most wedding photographers.
