Ahhh! Been avoiding these forums to prevent things like this happening. Then I just happened to stumble across Camera Jungle offering 20% off everything and ended up blowing £550 on a lightly used X100F.
Couldn't say no at that price, but it's about £549 more than I have spare at the moment!

Agree in camera processing can be a pain if you have a few to do, plus the screen isn't the best indicator of the final result.
Regarding write speeds, the Xf is pretty slow to write even with a fast card in my experience.
Always wondered why this camera doesn't get more recognition. I guess the price is a bit of an obstacle, but for those who often want a one side fits all solution this must be it.
Not sure how well its selling so might pick one up myself when the price bottoms out!
Nikon 18-105? Not quite the range you were looking for, but still a good general purpose walk about lens. Plus its cheap and top quality for its price.
