    Canon 1.4x or 2x Extender?

I use a 1.4 mk2 with the 100-400 mk 2 and the results have been pretty decent. AF speed is a tad slower but not that you would really notice.

    Epson Printer Head blocked

I've been using an Epson 4800 pro for a few years, it does suffer from blocked nozzles, especially if left for awhile. The one thing I do is to get some Nilglass, and spray a thin pad of strong kitchen tissue. Lay this on the head track and move the head over so it sits above the pad. Leave...

iMac RAM upgrade - is it worth it?

I think a ram upgrade will be beneficial, but an SSD will be much faster, and provide more bang for your buck. You can even install an ssd into the optical drive bay. Quite a few different ways to make your machine quicker.

Photoshop Closing down when using Nik Software

Been doing this to me as well, all started a couple of updates ago. I think The Sierra update caused the issue. In Lightroom all the filters work fine. I use the Nik Panel that opens up with Photoshop rather than doing it via the filter menu. That way it doesn't crash.

    Nozzle Check Results - Help?

The problem with the nozzles clogging is lack of use, makes no odds if it's left on or off. A daily print purge keeps the nozzles free, I have not had a serious clog on mine for several months.

    Nozzle Check Results - Help?

Yeah your right, just your sentance had me a bit confused. The weak point of the 4800 is the nozzle clogging issues, that said if you use the methods outlined you can keep the problems at at bay. I bought my machine which hadn't been used for a couple od years and managed to revive the heads...

    Nozzle Check Results - Help?

Not sure what you point was? I have a HPZ3200ps which I can leave for weeks without use, it doesn't exhibit the problems the 4800 is well known for. However with careful maintenance it is a fantastic machine.

    Nozzle Check Results - Help?

Indeed it produces wonderful prints, I have been using some Kodak A3 metallic, just wonderful. Maintenance tank is a rip off, easy hack. Lots of paper towels and a chip resetter.

    Nozzle Check Results - Help?

Thats ok, it can be a temperamental beast, but if you do like I have, you will rarely get head cloggs. Also another point don't get too hung up on using Epson only inks, I've used 3rd party inks for quite sometime with this printer, and with my HPZ3200, no difference tbh, longevity is good, and...

    Nozzle Check Results - Help?

Hi, I have the same printer as you, the 4800 Pro are prone to suffering from blocked heads, when I bought mine (second hand) it hadn't been used in 2 years, It took several days to get the heads back into condition. What the printer suffers from is irregular use, as the nozzles start to block. I...
