First time out with the new X-T5 and first time using the 100-400 I got at same time.
Thoughts.
AF accuracy and speed over the X-T2 is colossal. Can’t even compare. If you do anything that needs fast AF and precise continuous AF, this is a worthy upgrade.
SOOC JPGs are a quantum shift over...
So I had a bit of an issue. The camera was perfect however when I got home I noticed a small scratch on the sensor, so Ffordes did me a solid and reduced the cost of a brand new model down as far as they could. I still had to chuck a few quid their way but a brand new model arrived today. Need...
Thanks to everyone who offered their help with upgrading my X-T2 to the new body and recommending lenses for aeroplanes, I went ahead and got a lovely used combination from Ffordes. Since they are located near Inverness and I’m in Aberdeen, I’ve taken a drive up this afternoon and picked it all...
Considering upgrading my X-T2, I’ve been all over the place with options including moving away from Fuji.
In the last year I’ve started to really try get into aviation photography. I’ve got the XC 50-230mm as a start but it’s not long enough.
The C-AF on my ageing X-T2 is just too slow for...

Hi All,
Currently got a Fuji X-T2 and the XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7.
I find the lens a bit short and slow at the long end.
The camera body is feeling old in terms of AF, it's pre-AI cameras and whilst it can track people and eyes, it has no ability to track a plane in the same way some modern...
I am considering upgrading my X-T2 to an X-T5 because the 2 is not doing so good for Autofocus for Aviating photography. Anyone got any experience of the X-T5 for this and any examples of the improvement over the 2?
Looking for some film processing and potentially scanning options around Scotland or wider UK. Mail order is fine but they all seem to charge a fortune for postage :/
Any suggestions?
I am just so wary of all of these brands. My Chilli Power ones don't have any errors either but they cannot cope with the power delivery needed for video. Have you used these for any 4k?
