Well I had a go and I think I did pretty well. I have made a diffuser similar to the demb flash diffuser. Test shots as soon as I can convince someone at work to let me take photos.

Thanks for the reply. I will give it a go. I also read on the forum about something called a flip it!. It seems awfully expensive so I think I am going to try make my own. I found acrylic perspex on ebay at £1.42 a sheet. I think with a clear acrylic hinge I could make something similar...
