Beginner Photos mostly always too dark

I actually noticed this. I got a cheap IPS on gumtree for my house. In comparison stuff at work looks terrible on the TN panel. OK the IPS isn;'t up to editing standard but it's much better. The colours seem to be better represented and as you said there isn't a colour shiftor much anyway when...

Beginner Lens for Interior shots but advice too

Hi guys, I've recently got another camera since I moved out a canon 500d, oldie but it does the job nicely. So basically since I have a DSLR my mate asked me to take some shots of a flat he owns to rent out. But the rooms are a little small so my tammy 17-50mm wasn't really ideal...

Street photography - is it worth it?

Why not ask after you have taken and shown the picture? I see what's your saying but at weddings and birthday party's people take photos. I have lots of natural ones as people forget your there. It's up to you though.

Street photography - is it worth it?

IMO this is the best way to do it. This whole I can photograph what I want will end up in a smashed camera IMO. It only takes one person to lose it :nono: I think the OP is perfectly right for asking for permission. Yes it will make your job harder but I think it's worth it. I wouldnt be...

    Low cost photography - raised

I used to look at a picture and be like meh, but now I understand the effort involved to get the shot, the composition, the shutter speed used that gives a certain look, the depth of field and the PP. So being an newb which I can be due to low cost has given me the eye to see the effort gone...

    Sister-in-laws wants to upgrade

I would recomend a 550d personally. But I know alot of people pefer 30/40/50d's to the xxxd bodies. The 550d is slightly smaller than a 40d Im sure and it has video and newer sensor. Or she could get a second hand 40d/500d and get a good lens?
