I think we have got so used to prices always coming down and things getting cheaper. But ultimately that is why so many high st stores are going out of business, they are selling at a loss or so low a margin that they cannot make an overall profit.
I suspect those days may be gone for a while...
And if i bought a lens for my D60 that does not have the autofocus motor built in, how easy is it to manual focus the lens? Is a skill that is worth learning?
Sorry if this sounds a bit basic but i'm on a steep learning curve!
The 'go and try before you buy' advice is a good one.
I was advised to do this before i bought a few months ago, and it's surprising how much they vary in feel once in your hands. I ended up with the Nikon D60 simply because it felt much better and easier for me to handle.
Not necessarily. It doesn't make sense to sell old stock at new prices when they have very few buyers already. So i think the keen prices will stay for a few weeks into the New Year. But after that they are only going up if the pound keeps falling!
They won't put new stock out til the old stock...
I think you will be OK in early January, it's when stores come to restock after then they will have to put up retail prices.
Old stock will still be keenly priced. New stock won't!
