Hi, Yes but it means I can get closer to the action without actually getting closer (which sometimes puts people off). Lugging a big white lens about does attract some attention though ;)

Google don't generally charge for downloaded software, they get you to pay for a service. There is a feeling that one of the main reasons they bought Nik was for Snapseed. I hope they keep developing the desktop apps and revise the price down a bit as I would really like the whole suite but...
