    The 30mm is an aps-c lens. You can either use it in crop mode or it will vignette on full frame but you will get ~37mm if you crop in pp

    You need to turn live view effect setting on and possibly set viewfinder brightness to auto if you have'nt already

    Tripod help please

    I use a sunwayfoto fb36 on my velbon cf tripod. If I take the centre column out and reverse it the head fits between the legs. The final length is 38cm. I take it everywhere I would have left my old large gitzo tripod at home.

    I prefer MF. AF gets in the way when and is frustrating as hell when it's choosing the wrong target. For moving objects just a pre focus and a burst of shots gets me what I want 99% of the time. It's the same if I don't have time for magnified zoom. Get is somewhere near with peaking and move...

    IMO you need some real experience and don't teach BS. My younger brother just started studying Photography at College and one of his teachers told him that the camera body is the most important part. He/she has at least 6 cameras all with the kit lens.
