I switched from PC to the 27" iMac about 8 weeks ago and haven't looked back since, yes they're quite highly priced for the spec that you get. However you get what you pay for, it oozes build quality and the operating system itself has never crashed on me once. I'm only new to photography...

I'm in the same boat, well it was not for my partner but for me! I got a 400D a couple of months ago and just got a 55-250mm IS last week. It's a brilliant lens and as shown above very sharp, definitely worth the money!

I have the 2011 iMac, the quad core i5 with 8gb of ram also and it runs like an absolute dream - photoshop and aperture are a doddle to use when working with large files.

I bought a lens recently from Hong Kong and wasn't charged, however after reading the above I'll not count my chickens just yet!

This lens really interests me, I guess at that price there's not much of a gamble in buying it!

I really like the clean simplistic layout with a friendly UI, but as mishra said the text seems a little small on my 27" iMac.

I've had mine running since release on my mid 2011 27" iMac and so far I haven't encountered any big problems. All my software so far has worked flawlessly, only real thing I've noticed is that it takes slightly longer to boot!
