    CF cards. What, Where

Purchased 2 8gb kingston cards from hotdealsuk on ebay. The cards were genuine and £12.50 delivered. Cards are not the most speedy things in the world (they say 133x) but they work.

    Question for the cyclists....

I have a question for the motorists reading this thread. What do you think when you are stuck in a HUGE traffic jam and see cyclists going on without being hindered? I was walking down the road today and there was a massive queue and all the cycles were going down the bus lane, I thought all...

Check your lights on your car

O RLY, I saw a lorry without a brake light today! Maybe he'll get caught, maybe not. Good to know there is some actual punishment for it now though. Car lights are often overlooked in terms of how important they are.

Check your lights on your car

There is not a day that I go out and don't see a car with a broken brake light / tail light or headlight. It is really pathetic - they are cheap and relatively easy to change. Also the highway code says to check your lights before each journey....

    Question for the cyclists....

I always cycle away from the curb - unless filtering. Don't really want all the road debris in my tyres! When using a cycle lane I am always on the white line of it or just inside the white line - gives me room to swerve if necessary.

    Question for the cyclists....

I find that sometimes, so now when I am doing close to the speed limit I am just going to sit in the middle of the lane. On the other point, I find that some of the worst and best drivers are black cab drivers! Some don't look and just swing out. I have seen one blocking a road while a police...

    Question for the cyclists....

+1, happened to me the other day. Needless to say I didn't move and they never overtook me as they got held up by traffic. I'd say a cyclists average speed (if they aren't dawdling around) is higher than a car in the city. I generally ignore horns though, they are hardly ever constructive. I...

    Question for the cyclists....

I generally stay put and brace myself for impact! If people want to cycle on the pavement I will make it has hard as possible to get around me - if they have to dismount then all the better :D It is more difficult to cycle on the pavement and more dangerous - there is no reason to do it!

    Question for the cyclists....

That annoys me too, and on many occasion I have had to shout at a cyclist who was acting like an idiot. Unfortunately there will always be idiots out there in all shapes and forms. You see the cyclists without lights, car without lights. Cyclists acting stupidly, motorists acting stupidly. The...

    Question for the cyclists....

fenix L2D torch and a lockblock - takes AA batteries and is very bright. Can get brighter but the cheap brighter lights are generally more unreliable (cheap chinese product) and don't take AAs.

    Question for the cyclists....

I do sometimes wave drivers through, but hardly ever. The reason is that on most roads if it isn't wide enough for the car to easily pass me, then if another car comes from the other direction (which they often do) then I will get stuck behind the car and have to slow down and stop while they...

    Question for the cyclists....

I meant that the law should be similar to that of the turn left on red in Australia, not that the current action is similar. @AlexW: I understand that, but I would have thought that people get more annoyed at cyclists that inconvenience them. They may see me go through the light but they will...

    Question for the cyclists....

Actually I find it very useful to jump red lights. Often it means that I don't have drivers up my behind for the next mile as there is nowhere for them to overtake. Also sometimes there is no traffic coming and I can move out safely. However I do it responsibly - pedestrians always get right...

don't laugh, I know its not a lot of money (relatively)

Yeah AF is slow but I use manual focus on the tamron as it is better than the AF! 1:2 still gives some decent pictures and for the price you can't go wrong. Obviously it isn't as good as more expensive lenses but if you can / want to fork out more then you can - I didn't and I am happy :D

    Question for the cyclists....

one alternative is to have house insurance policies that can be extended to cover bikes. Then they need no registration.
