Canon's 85mm F1.8 is a stunning lens at a good price, we use 2 of them for weddings, I tried the F1.2 and sold it after a week ... The 24 - 70 would be too short for you methinks .... Dave.

Hi Dez If the light is going to be constant then shooting like that will be fine, just suppose I've been shooting the way I do for so long I know what the camera is gonna do and just compensate if necessary ... Hope the wedding goes well for you. Cheers Dave.

Dez, using manual is waaay too slow for weddings. I shoot 'P' mode, evaluative metering and use the dials to compensate when required. I also shoot entire weddings in daylight white balance (one click fix in raw). Sorry to throw another spanner in the works, but the way I shoot let's me...

I had the Desire, now have the Sensation ... Battery life gets better and better as you condition it by charging. Mine gets plugged in every night. Cheers Dave.

Hi Lyn Thank you ... Going to be looking for a number of second shooters next year so stay in touch :-) Working in P can be so easy and allows full concentration on image content. Glad it worked for you .... Maybe some of anti P brigade should try it someday LOL Dave.

ISO is not controlled by P mode Pete .... As for the aperture, whatever P sets just wind the wheel to override and chose F5.6 ..... I never take any notice of the aperture my camera sets for any shot on any wedding .... !!

Hi Scott If you don't have financial issues, then CS5 combined with LR3 will set you up nicely. Both these pieces of software absolutely fly on Macs .....
