    Recommended A3 Printer

I have just started using the Canon Pixma 9500 MkII, and I am very happy with both colour and B+W. Unfortunately for you, I think the £100 refund offer has finished.

Pixma 9000 MkII or 9500 MkII?

Just a quickie. Should I turn my 9500 off when it is not in use, or let it just go to idle? Regards, Dave.

Pixma 9000 MkII or 9500 MkII?

Yes, it is calibrated regularly, although an upgrade may be on the cards. Stand by for the next stream of questions, all about monitors.;) Dave.

Pixma 9000 MkII or 9500 MkII?

I have just done a lot of over time lately, so money was sort of no object, in the end. The ironic thing is that all this over time means I have little time at the mo to try out the printer. I have some Canon paper on order, but I will definitely give the Ilford paper a go, too. The...

Pixma 9000 MkII or 9500 MkII?

Just for the record, I ordered the 9500. There are no papers with it, so it is a bit like being the kid on Christmas day with loads of toys and no batteries.:annoyed: Dave.

Pixma 9000 MkII or 9500 MkII?

POAH, I had thought of the Epson when it comes to B+W. Now I will have to think some more. Thanks for all the help, people. Dave.

Pixma 9000 MkII or 9500 MkII?

I was wondering if there was anyone that could advise me as to whether the 9500 is worth the extra money over the 9000. I have no specific requirements other then high quality prints. Will the quality of the 9500 prints be worth that extra couple hundred quid? As of yet, I haven`t made...

    Nikon 80-200 AFS 2.8 vs 70-200 AFS VR1 2.8 - added test pics

I use mine with a D700 and have zero issues with it. It is a beautiful piece of kit. Dave.

    Do I still need 50mm f1.4 when I have 24-70mm f2.8

I often have my 50mm 1.4 on my D700 and would never consider getting rid of it. It is great for indoors, and has beautiful bokeh. Dave.

Who carrys there DSLR with them every day?

I have always tried to take my D700 everywhere with me, but have now succumbed to buying a Leica D-Lux 5 (not yet arrived on my door step). No more missed photos for me, just more crap ones.:D Dave.

    This sounds very fishy

I`ll let that one go.:bang: However, I think you may have nailed it with the frequency of which flash guns would be going off. Dave.

Sorry to disagree, but some of his scapes last years. And who says tanks have to be self sustainable? If you want natural, don`t get them scooped out of the Amazon etc. in the first place (tank bred balloney won`t wash, either). Do we get an "off on a tangent of the year" award? Dave.

As a fellow aquarist, I am going to have to disgree with this Sarah. Have you heard of Takashi Amano? You should see the lighting he uses. Visit Aquatic Photography and UKAPS, too. Some of the photography is technically excellent. The images you see below (none of them are mine) will have...
