Asked short notice to shoot a wedding, looking advice/help.

I used to run business courses for people wanting to explore Wedding Photograph as a business My opening question to all attendees was... Put your hand up if you think Wedding Photography is stressful, and you'll have sleep issues before shooting one? Then I'd say something like - if you put...

Asked short notice to shoot a wedding, looking advice/help.

You're in 'danger' of being overawed by the argument above lol I'm at around 700 Weddings, including 5 in the last 9 days EVERY ONE of which was shot 90% on my Z6ii and 24-70 f2.8, with everything but a few Groups shot at f2.8 Two of those were only shot on the 24-70, and they were all...

    White spots on pictures.

Flies and or seeds - hot pixels are usually tiny and pure white, they are also 'sharp' as if in good focus regardless of what the lens captures

    Lightroom; is it just awful?

Just edited and output 641 photos from a shoot, all with a minimum of 3 masks, some as many as 11, generally as just Dodge & Burning (radial & linear grads) All exported as high res Print files; low res 1600px longest Web use and low res Web use watermarked All from LR, none needed PS at all -...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

I use the Z14-30 as its more than good enough and the difference between f2.8 & f4 is minimal, especially as few use a super-wide angle lens wide open anyway, its also the same filter size as my 24-70 f2.8 which I use mostly at f2.8 or f11, the rest of the apertures are pointless :D

Beginner Street photography. harder than I thought.

A bit late here, hopefully not too late to be worth a comment :) I rarely do 'Street' with people as the subject, though I like to shoot in Streets which sometimes have people in them When I do 'people Street' I tend to find my spot and wait for someone to walk into place worthy of a shot, but...

    Rubber feet or metal spikes

Oh dear - seems I'm neither a pro nor decent as I only ever use rubber feet :( 40 years of rubber feet has served me well though, especially as I've never (yet) been called upon to stab anyone with my tripod :D

    ISO 800

My max ISO is whatever is needed to get the aperture & shutter speed I need; my goto process is... Aperture for the DoF needed Shutter Speed to avoid subject blur/camera shake (assuming motion blur is not an effect I'm after) ISO to make the two above work If point 3 is less than 8000 I...

    Insect decline in the UK

I went south from Lancaster to Worcester (160 miles) this week with more spats on my windscreen than I've seen in years; I had to give it a good clean before heading home! Maybe they just all moved south of me as it doesn't happen the same around here or driving north to the Lakes & back?

    Advice on tablets.

I didn't know you could even buy one for under £100 (that isn't shagged as @realspeed alludes to) !!! But one that cheap that can run Lightroom too, good luck and let us know how you get on :)

Used equipment bought from MPB, Wex, Park Cameras etc

I've bought & sold through MPB maybe 20+ times over 10+ years I've always been happy with their service & product either way, so I'd happily recommend them :) Maybe not for drones though reading @GreenNinja67 above !!!
