Last Sunday on of the month when clocks are flogged is good - if the weather is ok, as you'll have golden hour an hour earlier - but it does mean less sleep.

Joel - I do a lot of mountain bike photography - check www.rootsandrain.com there is a diary of events. Just need to wrap up warm and take your photos.

I use my 7D mk ii with my 70-200 IS most of the time. If I do shoot continuous - I shoot on Slow as post processes taking forever. Most of my shots are bikes flying through the air! I'm looking at going to the 5Dmkiii for the full frame photos - or will I regret it?

So been in photograph (sports) for main years, generally following my children. My son Ioves his downhill mountain biking and my daughter loves her hockey and netball. Had some good success with the mountain biking and the hockey, but Though I'd come here to learn more - and hopefully get better...
