Panamoz has dropped £80 from when I bought, but oh well that’s life.
Bloody good camera though, definitely a great upgrade from the original 6D. Plus the 24-105mm MKII is a stellar general purpose lens.
I just bought one from Panamoz, £1780 with the new 24-105mm F4/L II - how can I complain at that price
I see it as a great camera, and a good upgrade from a 6D. The screen has me sold, and the Dual Pixel AF as I’ll be doing a little video work this year.
No review can put me off, I’m happy...
In short its excellent for wildlife. Using it on your 7D will crop the focal length to the equivalent of 640mm, that makes it excellent for small wildlife. It will focus very fast thanks to its USM motor and your 7D's excellent AF system. As Stewart said, the limiting factors are that it is a...
Hi Geoff!
If you are after my 400mm, I'll give you some advice as to whether or not its suitable.
A 400mm lens is quite 'zoomed in', it magnifies like low powered binoculars. It's not a versatile lens, by which I mean you cant really go on a holiday and shoot everything with it, just...
A 2 body set up is nice, the only reason I could recommend a 6D over 5D III would be budget, but that's not a factor here. I use a 6D and the focus is find, but if I was purely shooting track I would buy the 5D III in a flash.

The 35 is a great match, but versus an 18-55mm I don't think the sacravice in versatility is worth it. For the 35mm you could buy a used 18-55 and a 55-200mm be? That would be a versatile kit, then you could look for low light capability.
Lowepro flipside 400 AW suits me fine, holds a 6d, 70-200, 17-40, 24-105mm, a 50mm and a couple of flashes. I bought mine off ebay, not sure its genuine, but nevertheless the quality is superb!
