I am looking into getting a lens to shoot amateur rugby with my 5D. The majority of matches I will shoot will be in the afternoon, my budget isn't huge, so I am looking for a zoom lens that is good value that will be up to the job.

I haven't ordered anything from them as yet, but they do have a UK based office with someone that does pick up the phone. However they don't hold much stock and need around 5 days to get a lens to your door (I was in a hurry to get a lens).
I am going to Thailand this summer and I was thinking of going to Myanmar for a couple of weeks during my trip. How hard is it travelling around and what are visa requirements like?
For that budget you could pick up a second hand Canon 500D and a fairly decent kit lens. Or go for the 40D as some people have suggested, though that will be a bit older so you will need to make sure it is good knick.
