well it appears i wasnt as stupid as i thought and had set back to another drive!! panic over.... that was 4hrs i don't want to relive!! thanks for the help everyone!

i've somehow got it back!!!! Happy times!!! I'm scared to close LR down now!!!

yeah i'm prompted and dont think i've done it recently (yes i know dumb)... I have originals and all backed up its just all my editing work in lightroom

i have no other lrcat. files on my PC apart from ones dated 2013 ...if i ask LR to prompt me to open a catalogue when start up it only gives me one option. Thanks guys i appreciate the support...any other options?

^^^ i haven't backed up recently enough....i can only find the one lrcat. file which is this blank new one :arghh: i could cry!!! I assume any recently backed up catalogues would appear in the 'open recent' menu?? Cheers

It appears due to memory shortage lightroom has started a new catalogue and overwritten all of my substantial previous catalogue work.... i've tried opening the lrcat. file i can find but it must have over written.......please please tell me i can restore the old catalogue i was working on...

Hi all, im off on a works trip to Helsinki and driving out east a bit...anyone of our Finnish contingent or people who've been offer any advise? Places to see? I'm taking the camera gear (the hope was to some how see the northern lights...probably not far enough North)... cheers Dan

Hi Welcome back! I'm off to Finland on Tuesday and was wodnering if you have any advise on anywhere nice to take some pics (when i'm not working). I'm based in Helsinki and i'm travelling to Lappeenrantra...i'd love to see the nortehrn lights but i think its too early! Any tips and advise??
