    Leonid Meteor Showers This Weekend

Glad it wasn't just me who didn't see any then! Aren't they due to peak again on Tuesday evening? I don't think it's forecast to be clear here though.

    Leonid Meteor Showers This Weekend

Been out for the last hour and a half... It's one of the clearest nights I have ever seen (Lincolnshire)... But I did not see any meteors! I think I may have seen one in the corner of my eye as I walked towards my front door lol. Got some good star shots though :) I remember going to view this...

    Leonid Meteor Showers This Weekend

I know it obviously depends on how bright the sky is (light pollution, moonlight etc), but typically, how long would you expose for with these settings? Me and a couple of guys from work plan to go out either tomorrow night or Wednesday night (weather permitting) for some night photography in the North East Lincolnshire area. Does anyone know of any good locations for night photography in or around this area? We have a few ideas, such as the...

Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2012

Some absolutely fantastic shots in that video... I just watched it twice! Would be very interested to know how some of the wide angle shots are taken - they look like long exposures as the stars/scenery is so bright, but with no 'star movement'?
