If it were me, I'd wait as you've got some nice glass for the Canon already. The money you'd save would be lost in the new glass you'd have to purchase. Plus the wife would kill me if I'd invested so much then traded it all in for another system. Alex

Thanks guys, I've decided to go for the D300 plus the 70-200mm f2.8 lens. It takes me slightly over budget and I need to ask for money for my birthday and Christmas so I can buy my wife her macro lens, but I think it's going to be worth it. Didn't realise this forum was soooo expensive ;) Alex
