Im just an amateur holiday snapper and i dont like to alter my photos much, so i think Photoscape is good for me. Cropping and levelling of horizons etc all available, all from free download. I dont like free trials, you tend to get pestered if you dont buy afterwards, or cannot delete it i find.

Thanks for replying Bristolian. I tried all your suggestions, by then i had lost the photos, file was showing empty, i probably deleted them while trying to remove the rest. In the end a quick format of the card removed everything, and it seems ok again now. Dave

I just got back from a short break, went to download my photos to PC using usb lead, when opening the file i had extra folder called DCMM$$, and could not open the normal folder with the photos. I closed and started again, this time i had 2 folders named DCMM$$ each about 11gb? I also noticed...

Hi Dave, thanks for that. They were bu no means pro photographers, i doubt they done their own developing, so would it be something an amateur could do? I can attach a photo if it helps, although i dont know how to attach, only been on here an hour :)

I have some old photos of family from around 1940s, they were taken in black and white but seemed to have been painted in some way to add some colour. How was this done?
