I've got two Canon AV1s and both are set exactly the same, Lens/ASA/Aperture/New batteries. The meter in one behaves as I'd expect but the other one
needs to be pointed at a much brighter light source to get the light meter to move. Any ideas?

After deciding to splash out on a new digital camera I've made a bit of an about turn and got some film for my old Canon AV-1.
As I've not used it for a long time I gave it a bit of a blow with the air brush to get some specks of dust out of the body that I could see through the
view finder...
Thanks Steve, I intend carrying it in a suitable ruck sack with some padding. The weight shouldn't be a problem as I'm used to carrying a couple of litres of water on my back. The mtb is a great way to get to some out of the way places when time is short and I like photographing remote scenery.
I've not used a proper camera for years but hope to get back into it soon. Funnily enough its been the playing around with my smartphone 'camera' that
has rekindled my interest, wondering, if I can get good results from a phone then recent DSLRs must be amazing! I'm hoping to find something...
