The GAS confessional - all who suffer are welcome. :)

I'm in the same position. Trying to justify changing from an A7R iv to a Z8, mostly for landscape work. I'm always worried how the Sony will fare with inclement weather, and the sensor cover for changing lenses in the field would be the icing on the cake. Did you make a decision in the end?

Thanks Graham. We’re moving away after 40 years of living here and it gives a renewed interest and perspective.

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Thanks for such a thorough response, Lee. The X100 is so small it's not a hardship to bring along for the ride for speedier requirements. The 40mm will be ordered today. I should return the new gear enabling... I saw your post about an X100VI and having had the V previously, the IBIS of the...

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

I'm feeling the need for something fast and fun to supplement my Sony 24-70 and X100VI. I'm stuck between the Sony 35mm 1.4 GM and the Voightlander 40mm 1.2. Different, I know... @LeeRatters which one do you find yourself reaching for if you have a day out on your own and no time constraints? I...

Panamoz prices with a lens are beyond tempting. Insane value. I've often bought grey before but it's the UK prices that are making me think this time.

The GAS confessional - all who suffer are welcome. :)

Despite owning an A7R iv and X100VI I think the desire for a ZF has reached the point of no return, especially with the current UK prices not a million miles away from grey import. I've no idea where it will end up in my daily usage but there does seem to be something a little special in the...

It's be nice if they included it considering the price. On a more positive note, the IBIS is pretty impressive!

I collected my X100IV this afternoon. The chap at the store asked if I wanted the weather resistant kit with it for half price and I said yes out of shock as I thought they were out of stock everywhere as well. To my amazement, when I got home and fitted the kit I found the lens cap no longer...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

The day has finally come I'm due to pick up an X100VI as a every day carry alternative to my Sony A7Riv and all I can think about is the Zf (the pictures on this thread have not helped at all), though it's basically the same weight as the. In fact slighty more, I think. It really doesn't help...

Very nice. Is that the Fuji case a weather kit? The kit seems to be sold out everywhere and I’m. It sure if the aftermarket ones meant for the V work on the 6 as well. I seem to remember reading something about the thread being a different length and it fouling the lens when it focussed.

It seems small until you put it next to an x100. I had an x100v and felt sad after selling it on. I just have a mind that likes to annoy itself!

Exactly! I wanted something I could take with me everywhere and my mind ran away with any logic. X100 = retro = Zf = not what I was looking for. It’s awful inside my head!

I received the call to say mines landed as well. When I put the deposit down I was stuck debating whether I should get it or a Zf with the 40mm. After weeks if internal decision doubting I forgot about it until today. Now the doubt is back with a vengeance! I already have an A7Riv so could...
