High contrast water and sunlight seem to turn out orbs most of the time for me. I agree it is debatable whether this ruins the picture but below is a rather extreme example.

I did sharpen a little but another problem may be that I was almost looking directly into the sun. I have always found it incredibly difficult to get good photographs of cobwebs, so I tried this backlit method to get the contrast up.

I was also in Copenhagen a couple of weeks ago and was really drawn to the landscapes along the waterfront.
I did some post processing on this one. May be too much? But the sky really was that moody. Do others find that they often want to up the sharpness on the jpegs?

Thanks for the reply. I am afraid I mainly stick to EXR mode at the moment (I always seem to be too rushed to experiment). That's good advice on the street scenes. It was really this forum that inspired me to have a go!
