I used to use a Dell 2209wa (22" 1680 x 1050) but then got a LG IPS 235V (23" 1920 x 1080). The Dell was better I'd say apart from resolution, although the LG is a good screen too.
I've been happy with my Asus motherboard. What about this Asus M5A97? Scan have it for £67 at the moment: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-m5a97-r20-amd-970-s-am3plus-ddr3-sata-iii-6gb-s-sata-raid-pcie-20-(x16)-atx?ProductId=45419

Not sure how far is not too far, but there is The Fyrish Monument near Evanton/Dingwall. There is also some nice wee lochs in the area, such as at Torrachilty, Loch Ussie, Loch Garve etc. In the Garve area, there is also Rogie Falls and Blackwater bridge. A few ideas there which might be of help.
I have a Asus P6T motherboard with a i7 920 processor. I read somewhere I think that there can be issues between Corsair PSU's and Asus motherboards in regards to this failure (something to do with a safety feature on the board to prevent it starting if it thinks it will overload). Hopefully...
Recently my computer has developed a power problem, it will only start after being unplugged for at least an hour (at a guess, but wont work after just a few mins). I suspect this might be the result of some recent thunder storms (I usually try and unplug but maybe wasn't quick enough), as it...

Sorry forgot about that. The Canon XXXd's all seem to vary from about 550-600g (incl battery and card) whereas the Sony A65 is 543g body only. If you're wanting lighter than the A65, then might need to consider something else.
Edit - Just checked the Nikon 5200 and its 555g incl batteries.
Dpreview seems to think it could be a white body 100d: http://www.dpreview.com/news/2013/11/09/canon-korea-teases-new-camera-eos-m2-or-sl1-100d?utm_campaign=internal-link&utm_source=news-list&utm_medium=text&ref=title_0_2
Thanks guys, I just held the camera to the eyepiece. Didn't use any attachments or brackets. If I remember right it was a 2" eyepiece and I took several shots and stitched them together in photoshop as the moon was just slightly larger than the field of view of the eyepiece.
