As mentioned feathering is using the edge to control what hits the subject, have done it many times with bigger softboxes to great effect (before I got some nice stripboxes). easy to do, have the light to the side, then point forward and across the subject, you can adjust how much light is...

You could use the softbox and feather the light to control it.

Time would be the biggest problem as well as distance, studio has been keeping me busy, especially at weekends. Hence why not been around here as much as I use to be.

Depends allot on the size of the mesh and how close you can get, if you are talking Zoo type then get the lens as close as possible, if you have a lens hood and can get that touching the mesh, that should help get it in an area the lens does not focus on the mesh but the actual subject which can...

:) been using the MK1 for a while now, and it has been my go to lens, so as had to replace was undecided on a used MK1 or a New MK ii but he 2 won in the end :)

Well bit the bullet and now have one :)
