Ok, I figured out disabling the sound so now I just want to disable the rear lcd screen. Any help?!

Hey all, I'm not sure of the best place to ask, here maybe?!... or point me in the right direction. When shooting video with a Canon 7d mk2 is it possible to turn off the lcd display? And also deactivate recording of sound? I only need the video and want to maximise battery life and memory card...

ISO 3200 21 by c0rb, on Flickr I've gone from a 550D to this, so a huge improvement all round to me. Just need to use it more and read the manual more. Does the tracking only work using live view?

I don't have a CF card reader so am connecting the camera straight to the laptop at the moment. When I plug it in via my laptop's USB 3.0 port, it's not connecting. Only if I plug it into one of the USB 2.0 ports. Anyone else come across this phenomena? Shot some football this morning, fingers...

Ordered mine from Jessops today. Extra years warranty is from Canon apparently so prepared to wait an extra couple weeks for the sake of peace of mind in year 2. No word on eta yet though

My dad did similar when I took my car on a track day at Brands a few years ago, I'd used the camera on MF, he always uses AF. Didnt realise and what would have been some cracking shots of the car were all for the bin. Whoops.
