    Battle of the Speedlites

Quick question: I have 1 430EXii already and would like to step into the world of Multiple flash work....I use a Canon 7D so using the remote trigger not Pocket Wizards which I'm very happy with. I understand that the 580EXii is about 2/3 stop brighter and has the ability to do a Multi mode...

    Costa Rica - Anyone been?

Cheers for the additional pointers, I think security should be a question of a bit of common sense here, I have already been warned over the punctured tyre trick! Packing all the gear now and hoping that the additional 32G of memory cards arrive in the morning post!

    Costa Rica - Anyone been?

Thanks Cruso & Chris, some great tips there. Between my GF and me we will have 2 7D's and various lenses - 50mm F1.4, 70-200 F4, 100mm F2.8 Macro and a 24-105 F4.....I'm a bit worried now that I am going to miss those wide shots? We have time on both Coasts so will be interesting to see how...

    Costa Rica - Anyone been?

Not sure if this in the right place to ask but I can't see a travel area of the forum specifically. I'm off there on the weekend for a fortnight, really excited as it will be a photographers paradise with so much to see. Key things I'm looking forward to seeing and photographing are as...

    New Canon lens.

Do a search! There must have been about 3 or 4 threads asking about HDEW in the last week:bang: To be positive I would recommend Kerso as well, bought a 100mm L Macro a week ago, great price and service :)

    which 1 of 4

Don't forget the IS gives you 3 stops on most lenses which have it so the F4 is less limiting :)

    which 1 of 4

Not sure how you can say the 1.4 is just as good as the 1.8, it just isn't! The 1.4 will give you 2/3rds of a stop more light gathering and if used at 1.8 will be much sharper than the 1.8 is at 1.8! The build quality is also better, optically I find the 1.4 sharper than the 1.8 and I have...

    7D only £1081.58 on Amazon

They are a uk company but that doesn't mean they do or have to sell a uk Canon product. Despite having sung their praises on another thread a week or 2 ago I have become slightly frustrated by tgem recently quoting me £10 more than their website when I emailed them for a price. I also with...

7D or 5D that is tbe question

This question has been asked loads of times before on this forum so if you search you should find some older comments and observations on the matter. Personally, I found myself asking the same question several months ago - I already have a 7d in the house (belonging to my GF) and wasn't sure...

    has anyone used (hdew cameras).

As I said earlier on another thread I have used them for some Canon items and found they gave good service, delivered when they said they would and the prices were the best on the internet. I have no experience of their after sales service but they did give me 3 different locations that they...

    7D

To be honest I've always called and done the transaction over the phone.I prefer to call and check someone has the stock rather than believing the on line stock check! I would have been happy to use Kerso as he is highly rated on here, I just didn't find his prices quite as good?

    3 legged thing tripods

I don't understand the comments on this thread - am I missing something or are the prices not the same between the Benro and 3LF? I'd rather support a British company even if they are a bit wacky?
