    New Lens Investment

When I was shooting motorsport on a regular basis I did a vast majority of my work with a prime (Nikkor 400mm f2.8 coupled with 1.4x and 2x teleconverters if required). The image quality was superb and the speed of focussing was lightning fast which helped match the high speed action unfolding...

Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre or maybe not!

Unless you know the law on vans Pierre, in which case you'd re-word that to "There is no reason to think the van wasn't going at 50"

    Lens for Superbikes..

As always gets said It's better to spend on your lenses. Get the best you can. One thing is for sure, as a newbie you WILL outgrow your first one or two lenses unless you really break the bank. Its only natural that you will get better at your technique and will then be cursing that £200...

    (Really) stunning pictures and photos......

Agree......... Strange isn't it and goes to show that everyone's tastes are different and perhaps you shouldn't delete that shot that you think is only worthy of the trash. If I'd shot the sparrow, I think I would have deleted it cos it looks like nothing....No beak, head shape etc, just...

    Public Liability Insurance £57

How'd you manage that then Gary? I've just phoned Simply and told them I needed PLI and after taking my details/profession etc they said I was, and I quote, "A little too specialist for them as they're only a small business they can't underwrite the liability I'd have" - Go figure that one...

Photoartistry - Anyone else having problems

Thanks folks, I have access through a friend to Companies House details so I sent Ms Herbert and her 30% shareholding chum strongly worded letters to their home addresses saying the order was cancelled with immdiate effect. Needless to say I got a phone call the exact same morning of the...

Photoartistry - Anyone else having problems

The plot thickens......... Suffice to say if you are thinking of sending money to Photoartistry, based on my current situation with them, my advice would be to take it elsewhere.

Photoartistry - Anyone else having problems

Thanks for that. I wish I knew who it was in charge...that'd be a start!!!!!!! Not sure who I got hold of. It sounded as though there was a slight foreign accent to her voice. That's all I got.

Photoartistry - Anyone else having problems

Hi folks, I appear to be having a bit of a prolem with Photoartistry in that they won't answer emails or phone calls. I've ordered a canvas for a client and want to check a) if theyreceived my image that was sent on CD due to it's size and b) when the print will be despatched direct to the...

What Software to make a 'montage'

Check with the printers you're planning on using too as they may require a "bleed" area around the image which will mean you'll have to make it bigger than what your print is actually going to come out as.
