Correct - it’s to do with the inherent restrictions in iOS. iCloud is the most viable option for iOS - I know Google Drive and Dropbox do have apps but my understanding is they do not work for background sync like they do on desktop operating systems (could be wrong though)
The main barrier for...
I think it’s fair to say that on this site people probably avoid eBay, but the XF 70-300 has just arrived. It was £450.
It was described as grade C (‘very noticeable and heavy dents, marks or scratches) but has arrived boxed, with hood and in absolutely mint condition.
I was happy to take the...
Unless you’re in bright sunlight I find a lot of recipes are so much -b +r white balance shift that everything looks, well, a bit p***y. Cuban Neg is a good example of this - unless you’re shooting in Cuba or Italy it just doesn’t work.
I struggle with classic negative anyway, the greens look...
If it’s just between two machines - consider Syncthing - it’s not cloud storage, but rather you pick one folder on your desktop that syncs to your laptop. Once setup, the folder is mirrored on both machines; or alternatively you could use that folder as a ‘drop box’ of sorts.
I use it between 3...
Now it’s my turn to play ‘which prime?’
I’ve got my X-T5 sorted and a 70-300mm is on the way. So I’m going to chop in my 50-230 to MPB for another lens.
But…which one? In an ideal world I’d get the 16-50mm, but I don’t have that cash.
So…any strong feelings on 23(35)mm vs 35(50)mm? I was...
To echo what David has said, don’t buy new. Get an older body. I love my X100F; I’m one of at least 3 on here that use one. And if OVF size bothers you then an X-Pro 2 sounds like fun.
What matters is finding a camera you want to take pictures with. Its important to bear in mind that features like this are really quality of life things that don't particularly affect the experience; just the end result.
Based on your previous posts it sounds like you're struggling with the...
Managed to land myself an X-T5; but I've only got manual primes or big zooms on X-Mount at the moment.
I'm gathering by the almost overwhelming feedback that the Viltrox Air primes are well worth the cash; the only downside being the lack of WR. Is that about the size of it?
I'm tossing up...

Scroll down to ‘consumer products’. There are more granular details you get access to in enterprise editions but if you have sporadic issues with MS products it’s worth checking here before troubleshooting at home :)
Can anyone speak to the handling difference between the X-T4 and and X-T5? On paper it looks negligible but I’m wondering if the increased size and weight of the X-T4 feels noticeable in actual use
