Recently i have been asked to do some portrait pics for family, friends etc and have been editing in a background as i do no have one. This is taking some time. Can you recommend some backdrops/backgrounds from the budget to decents ones

Gimp is a :thumbs:. Its pretty hard to get your head round but when it all clicks it makes other software much easier. Its what I did and it was recommended through TP.
Couldn't agree more. If someone is rude just remember you dont have to reply just shout verbal comments at your computer/laptop screen it work for me.:naughty::nono::naughty:
I asked about editing stuff when I first started out when the pennies were tight and suggestions of free software was available. Gimp is the first edit software I used and it got me off the ground if your new. Gimp could now be open to debate. Open a new thread?? I went from that to elements 8...
When I put images up and ask for C&C I expect negative or I don't like etc as I'm still learning and my sometimes my mistakes can be seen in my images that I'm unaware of. But there is now and then someone pipes up and gives rude C&C and lets there keyboard run away when there is no need...
Take all the info you can, i did and did my friends wedding on Saturday and well chuffed with the results. Everything i did in preparation like buying extra lenses, flash and who to shoot etc was all off tutorials and asking questions to the good people on TP. Well worth checking out...

And yes there is and its free.. I know some peeps may C&C but its free and ive tried it and i think it good for nothing!!
