As RAWs are normally a smaller size than the TIFF and the TIFF is opening ok could; as Ancient_Mariner suggests it be CS6 'doing' something with te RAW file? do you have another RAW program you can open the original in? that might confirm whether the RAW file is corrupted, or at least rule out...
