It will be for 35mm film with the occasional 120 roll. I'm looking for a general developer but, as Rodinal might give good contrast with larger grain than some, maybe a fine grain dev.
It might be that Rodinal would make a good choice. I'll get to use it more now.
My reusable Bellini Duo Step is pretty well exhausted.
There's a little left in the original bottles which I will add to the diluted working solution to dev my many very short rolls/test strips (so that I don't have to waste any one shot developers).
I will find a new developer to play with...
Dynax 505si (35-105mm zoom) Fomapan200 in near exhausted Bellini duo Step.
Rough Focus test image.
EDIT: wrong camera attributed, (two rolls scanned in the same session ), corrected.
For most of my film photography, I use the "Exposure" app (free) on Android. It works well and has a couple of features that I like.
In common with other light metering apps I have used, I had to calibrate the app by adjusting it to agree with a known good metering source on a plain subject...
I've been using Darktable for my digital work (as a learner) for a few weeks. I'm getting the hang of the modules and can navigate them reasonably well.
Selecting parts of my images for treatment is an ongoing task. But, I'm enjoying it. Thanks for the link to more info......
I recently bought a Sigma 50mm macro lens. It has that soft rubbery finish on the lens barrel, which has a slight feel of going sticky.
Being the proud owner of a Nikon F70 with the rubberised back that would double up as fly paper, I wonder if there is a way to treat the finish to preserve it...
Hi,
I have just added a Sigma 50mm f2.8 macro (to 1:1) lens to my scanning kit.
On my Pentax 16Mp camera it can produce negative images of around 2600x3900. It seems sharp enough when scanning for a JPG output from the camera.
The image attached is at full pixel scale. Note the odd band of...
Interesting camera, I like the two step focus range. I have several so called auto focus plastic P&S cams and discovered that the auto-focus steps are as simple as "near or far", and yet most worked well enough for me.
I saw a camera brand that I hadn't been aware of and had a search on the auction site for examples.
I bought this, a Japanese made Samoca 35 LE, made between 1958 and 1963 ish, my first Japanese camera from this era.
It's a fixed lens rangefinder with uncoupled Selenium meter.
It works...
Decided to brave the horrible weather and go for a short wander in the local village of Delph in Saddleworth, on the Lancs/Yorks border.
Very poor day for photography, but is something I should "embrace" as there's lots of days like this. This is part of my monthly set for my Frugal Film...
The distance from the end of the lens to the negative will depend on your lens. I suggest single negatives for each negative frame.
I have used my Samsung NX with 16-50mm lens plus a close-up filter lens, that needs around 100mm and it only fills half the image frame. It is enough, and gives...
