    Help needed please!

Actually, reding some of the above replies, I had an idea... I might be able to find a nut of the same size thread of the tripod, glue it to the base of the camera. Won't look pretty but should work...?? A good strong epoxy glue should do, what do you chaps reckon?

    Help needed please!

Cheers Rob, I've just had a very close look, never noticed before, but it looks like the plate with the thread in is indeed a seperate piece, there looks to be 4 tiny screws holding it in. I might be lucky here... Many thanks to you both. Cliff.

    Help needed please!

I had a slight accident with my camera a few months ago, basically I managed to rip my tripod out of the bottom of the camera. I have stripped the thread from inside the 'screw' bit where the tripod attaches. Do any of you good folks have any suggestions as to how to repair it, or are there...

Could any of the esteemed members confirm if there is a particular law with regard to photos of British Troops? The story is: Today, a friend and I went to ASDA to use their photo printing facility. We downloaded the pics off a pen-drive, chose the ones we wanted to print, selected the...

Thanks for that info. I'm pleased to say they've been well looked after, not a mark on any of them and certainly not on the lenses! I can offer them to my acquaintance with a clean conscience.:)

Am I allowed to ask for evaluation on this site?

Thanks pd, I've done a search for "Minolta AF" in the sales section, but the amount of results with all sorts of lenses listed was staggering, plus, I'm no expert, not by a long chalk... I might think I'm looking at the correct item, but.... E-bay sounds like a good idea, I'll give it a try...

Am I allowed to ask for evaluation on this site?

I have some lenses that an acquaintance is interested in, I haven't a clue what they are worth, I don't want to rip him off by over pricing, nor do I want to undersell them by too much... Rather than just post the details, I thought I'd ask if it's permissible first. Thanks, Cliff.
