That's an interesting thought. You may well be right on canon pricing but whenever I had canon DSLRs I always found that the Nikon offering was often more expensive. Lenses were more dependent on what you wanted but bodies....maybe since I bought low end bodies Canon slightly edged on bang per buck.

Hey woof woof, I've even had the problem on my A7 mkii which I think is 1/8000. May have to get some ND filters. Food for thought.

Buying grey is not illegal. Stealing is.

A lot of love for the 35mm which is nice to see a lot of happy people that were wanting this lens. I personally find I don't tend to use 35mm focal length a lot. Well, at least I don't think I do. I'm going to go back through my shots and check actually. I have the Sony 50mm prime I have used as...

Just got back from hols in Dominican Republic. Was up early one day due to jet lag so took a walk down the beach and saw the sun rise.

On the talk about Fuji, I came to Sony from Fuji but have also previously used M4/3rds and Canon DSLRs. I loved all the stuff I used in different ways. With Fuji it did have a really nice feel but I guess in the end it's about the results. If I could afford to keep a Fuji Xt-30 with the 18-55...

I agree about colour distraction being a reason to process as mono sometimes. One of the things I notice a lot about this thread (maybe many other equipment threads are like it these days, not sure) is that a lot of the responses and reasoning is based on an angle from pros who have a job to...

Constant bashing of Samyang and anything that you don't own or don't think is good enough does not make good reading for the rest of us. It's laughable that you think me jealous of your gear. I almost feel sorry for you. Besides you don't know what gear I own. You and your "bro" like to get...

You should reread some of your posts and think about how you sound to other people. It's actually cringe worthy how aggressively you defend your purchase decisions and argue for/against products.

Hi guys, can someone confirm that when selecting RAW+JPEG on the Sony A7 II (not sure if A7 III is the same?) that the JPEG you get alongside the RAW image is expected to be much smaller in file size than when shooting in JPEG EXTRA FINE mode? In JPEG EXTRA FINE I sometimes see file sizes at up...

The Canon 70-200 f/4 L is fantastic. I used to use both a 70-200 f/4 and a 70-200 f/2.8 (non IS). Both were razor sharp but the f/4 is much more compact and nice to use in the real world. It's also priced pretty competitively new even today and if your usage is mainly going to be outside, it...
